What a week is right! Got so much done, but I'm planning on taking a week just to recouperate.
Carpet is scheduled to be installed on the 20th. That means the two rooms being carpeted have to be completely cleaned out and painted and of course isn't it just like me to wait until the last minute. In my defense, I work better under pressure.
So the week actually starts on Thursday evening. Looking at everything I needed to finish in the family room. While moving everything out I decided it was time to replace the grout on the hearth. Look at the dirty two tone grout.
Saturday I was off to painting the closet. You don't realize how big a room or closet is until you have to paint it.
I painted the right and left sides of the closet but decided the center would be the same color as my room so that will be painted at that time.
Sunday was definitely not a day of rest and it was time for the ceilings to be painted. A job I loath just about more than anything, and of course it took 2 coats.
Ceiling done! Check that off the list.
Monday it was time for another project. I'm remodeling the master bath and of course it isn't done but I wanted the floor in before the carpet so they could put in the transition between the rooms. I have never done vinyl plank flooring so had to call Brandon over to get me started and show me the tricks of the trade.....he's really not a floor installer. Then off I went installing flooring. I'm super excited how it turned out and I did it!
Flooring took Monday and Tuesday evenings because I'm slow and a rookie so I decided that there was no way I would get everything done by Thursday. I took Wednesday off and started at 7:30am, bright and early and finished at 11pm. Can you say exhausted.
Wednesday was painting day. Two gallons of paint and the my bedroom is "Agreeable Grey". I love the color but of course since I was tired there are a few spots on the ceiling I'll have to touch up.
Notice my supervisor Riley in the closet! Spent the remainder of the evening moving all the furniture out so that things would be ready first thing in the morning.
