The Saga Continues
Here I thought I was doing so good on Christmas. Shopping almost done, lots of orders for embroidery I was working on. Well, in the middle of November my machine started acting up. I had plenty of time for orders, I said to myself. I'll take it in and get it serviced, it's ready for it's annual check up anyway. So, I took it in and during the 10 days it was in the shop my 2nd machine started acting up. No problem I said. Picked up first machine from shop. All serviced and ready to go. Took my second machine in to have it cleaned and serviced. As I started sewing on things I need to get done, btw I have over 50 items, my machine started acting up. This is the one I just got serviced. It just kept getting worse and worse.
Well, took the 1st machine in to the shop to have it looked at. He promised he'd get right on it, and oh by the way, my second machine has now been in the shop for 8 days and is still waiting it's turn in line. Bad news. My machine needs a part that they have to order. 4-7 days. OMG, are you kidding me. I'm really starting to stress now. So here I sit with over 50 items that need to be stitched up before Christmas and I am minus 2 machines. Never in my wildest dreams.
I did talk to one customer today and informed her I wouldn't get it done this week. She wanted it by Wednesday. Not a problem, I'll just get it when you get it done. Hope everyone else is that understanding. I have every intention of getting everything done.........................all I need is a machine.
Guess I will get busy wrapping presents. At least my shopping is done!

Jaxson's Construction Quilt
I don't think I will ever get done or caught up with quilts. It seems as I finish them, my list keeps getting longer. I've been working on Jaxson's for what seems forever. Mainly because I only spend a few hours a month on it. Well, I have all the blocks put together. Sad thing is only 10 of the 30 blocks are embroidered. My machine is currently in the shop and has a list a mile long waiting for when it comes home. Boy I hope I can get it on Monday.
Well here's the quilt so far. I'm excited, it's looking just like I planned.
I went to a quilt show on Friday with my cousin Jana. It was so much fun, but the problem is, now I have even more ideas spinning around in my head.

Has it really been 1 year.
1 year ago today my father passed away. Some days it seems like yesterday and other days it feels like I lost my dad a long time ago.
Love you Dad, and until I see you again in Heaven.
This is one of my favorite pictures. Us at Roaring River.

I Did It!
I had the most wonderful time last week. I watched Jaxson and Gage from Saturday to Saturday. That's right and I did it. Mommy and Daddy had a well deserved vacation in Cancun. Jaxson even got 100% on his spelling test.
See, I still got it!

Another great find
Well I don't think Stan and Jeff think that after they helped me set it up.
Let me set the stage......You know HornMart, that's my little store. Well I hate that people can still see in and check out our equipment. It's a safety issue and also, we've worked hard to learn our trade. We don't like people seeing what we do and how we do it. We've been burned twice. So, I've been trying to figure out how I can make a temporary wall.
Well, at the beginning of the summer I saw this really cool cabinet, and I gotta tell you, it was massive. It was exactly what I was looking for. It was also a hefty price. Well, went to the same garage sale yesterday and he was a lot more negotiable on the price. He's moving and it's heavy. He didn't want to move it again. Got it loaded up in the truck, with the help of 2 other guys and then the predicament was, how to get it out. We got it out, Stan and I but it's in 2 pieces and there was no way that Stan and I could lift the top and set it on the bottom.
In steps our super hero son Jeff to the rescue. With his muscles along with Stan and I we got it set up. Now all I need to do is fill in the hole, I have some ideas, and we are good to go.
Isn't it perfect.

Look at all the storage. I can't wait to organize and get everything cleaned up. I'll take pics and share as soon as I do. Thanks again Jeffy.
Ok, got the center filled in. Now to get busy cleaning and getting it filled and organized.

Wheeling.....Dealing Stan
Ok, here's Stan's latest trade. For an ATV. Really, how many cars does one family need. We are starting to look like Stan's Used Car Emporium. Well, we do have 2 cars for sale.
Any way, here's his latest deal. Stan has always wanted one of these, so I guess it's ok. :) Oh, and he hasn't had a chance to wash it yet so it's covered in dust.
