Visiting Dad

Mom and I took a road trip on Saturday to Centralia Kansas.   The head stone turned out really nice, the back side includes information on his military service.

This is the back side of the head stone.

Perfect setting for my dad.   He's at the top of the hill with no other graves around him.  He liked his space and the country.

Gage's First T Ball Game

That's right,  Gage finally got to play baseball.  I think he was actually more interested in visiting with the other team each time they came to the base he was playing.    They did really good and it's so much fun to watch little ones learn.

Ready for the big game.

Getting last minute tips from Coach Dad.

I made it!

Are we bored?

Running really fast.

The runner before Gage forgot to run!

I'm really fast.

Mimi, more pictures?

Bon Fire Party

Saturday night Jaxson's baseball team all came over for a fishing and bon fire party.  It was so much fun.  Many of the kids saw their first bon fire and caught their first fish.

Some decided to explore too.

The girls got in on the action too.

The biggest catch of the day, it was also his first catch ever.

Rick's big catch.

Oooooh

Kick ball, volleyball and soccer all at once.

We decided it was fun to pet the fish before they went back in.

We do catch and release, most of the time.

Proud Dad.....by the way,  his son caught the biggest fish ;)

Anticipation of the bon fire.

Keeping nice and toasty.

Night time fun with laser sticks.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

..............turtles in a half shell.....TURTLE POWER

Today Jaxson was in a "Talent" show at school.  I tell you, out of all the skits, these guys were the cutest.  (no predujice here)

Jaxson was Michaelangelo.   Just in case you don't know the turtles, he's the one in the orange.

Yarn sorted and put away

Yippee.....yarn is all divided with Mary, she has hers now at her house, so it's no longer in my house.  That's the best news.   I've organized it sorting by type of yarn and color, and put it all in plastic bags.   I actually found a blank wall in my store room in the basement.  Is that even possible, a blank wall.  Well,  Thanks to Vern Laferre I had a really nice peg board wall that was actually to heavy for me to haul to craft shows, so I re purposed it.   Hope that's ok Vern.   Look how organized my yarn is.   Now if I could get the rest of my house in that shape I'd be doing good.   Next up......fabric.....and I think I have another blank wall.   Could it really be.  We'll see......

Yarn Yarn and more Yarn....oh and fabric too

Well, got a steal of a deal.   Someone obviously was a fabric/yarn hoarder and my sister Mary and I reaped the benefits of her shopping.    Last count was 700 on the skeins of yarn but I lost count.   Here's some photos as we were sorting.

Happy Birthday Landon

To my cute little, red headed Great Nephew.   Happy 3rd Birthday.

Here's a cute shirt I made for his big party on Saturday.  Can't wait to see him in it, he was super excited when he saw. it.

Isn't he a cutie,  looks just like his daddy, except for the red hair (gets that from his Grandpa Fritz)

10 Years Ago Today

Has it really been 10 years since Stan's mom passed away.   WOW.    I have so many memories, good and bad of caring for her as she rapidly declined with Alzheimers.  We just have to laugh about it, otherwise we would just cry.  Memories make her live on in our hearts.
